I am looking for a romance novel that will not leave my head. The heroine is in medical school and comes home because her Father has a heart attack. She is/has been in love with the neighbor next door and they finally try to work it out and start a relationship. She get pregnant and doesn't know how to tell him.

I'm looking for help to locate a series, I believe was published under Silhouette Desire. The heros were agents/mercenaries, they reported to one guy I think his name was Max. If anyone can think of at least one title that would help.

I hope you can help me. I dont remember much about this book, but I'd like to reread it if I can find it. She's prim and proper and he's the saloon owner. They are caught by some in what they consider a "compromising situation." They're at some picnic or something, they go on a walk, and the ties on her corset break. She has to undo part of her dress so he can fix it, but they are seen by some children or other adults. Her reputation is in trouble, so he proposes to save her from ruination. They get married and eventually fall in love... I dont remember much of anything else. Can you help?

I am searching for the title of a historical romance book that I read in approximately 1987. I had picked up the book at a used bookstore, so it would be dated earlier. I believe that the female lead character was named Byrony or Bryanny and she was from Ireland, but traveled to England for an arranged marriage/engagement that her father set up in order to save his estate. There was a secondary male character that convinced Bryanny that her husband to be was still involved with his mistress, Petra.

The I'm trying to find the names of 2 romance novels that I've read a while ago... 1. The woman was a member of the Royal court in Versailles and people invade the court and kill Marie Antoinette...the girl flees after killing a man and makes her way to a farm where there are brothers. The brothers, one of them whose name is Garrett (with whom she falls in love), takes her in and allows her to live on the property in a cottage...At the end of the story, the accomplice of the man whom she killed, finds her and tries to kill her and the only way she got away is by setting herself on fire...she doesn't die, though...

2. The woman is a maid and somehow, she ends up trying to teach a duke or an earl how to be a duke or an earl....except, she doesn't know what she's doing!!! He goes along with it, pretending that he's not a duke or earl and that she's an excellent tutor. That's all I remember from this story...other than it was really funny!!!

I am fruitlessly searching for a book that I read in late 1991 or early 1992. I think it was a serial romance, but I haven’t the foggiest idea which line it belonged to. The plot was this: the heroine is an aspiring artist who also works a “day” job. She meets a man who sweeps her off her feet and she marries him without knowing much about him. For the honeymoon, he takes her to a secluded cabin (for some reason I think it was located in Colorado) where he reveals to her that he sought her out on purpose because he is seeking revenge against her for being the person who was driving the car that killed his sister and brother-in-law. The heroine knows immediately that the person he is talking about is really her younger half-sister/step-sister. I think the younger half/step may have been working for the hero’s family as a nanny or something and used the heroine’s name as her own. As I recall, initially the heroine protests her innocence, but stops when the hero does not believe her. Eventually, the half/step makes an appearance and things are resolved. The hero feels terrible about what has happened and makes arrangements for the heroine to live at some sort of residential art colony without her knowing that he has set this up. Soon thereafter the heroine realizes that she is pregnant by the hero and more turmoil ensues.

I read this in about the mid 1990's. It takes place in America, around the 1800's. A recent widow with a young son is selling off all her belongings to pay her husband's debts. She is soon surprised by the appearance of a Native American woman who was also her husband's wife. The Native American woman chops off all her hair in grief at the news that the husband is dead; even though she was searching for him to get a divorce, as she had met someone else. The husband had been married to the Native American woman two years before his second wife, and there were no children. The women finally accept one another, and end up on a boat, I don't remember why. I believe the main character's son was named Jamie, though I'm not completely sure. She also had a piece of her grandmother's furniture she was quite attached to- a rocking chair, or a chest, which caused problems in transportation. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

The story was a contemporary romance about a woman who studied eagles or hawks. She had an abusive ex-husband who also studied them (he was the antagonist of the story). The hero was a ranger, or someone with the fish and game who was hired to guide the heroine on her search for the birds. He had a dog (a wolf?) whom he communicated with by hand signals. In the book, the dog dies (I think it was shot?). The cover may have the man and woman standing behind a truck with a litter of puppies in the back (this was how the story ended, I think) or it was of the man and woman on horseback. I read the romance in the 1990s. I think it was a Silhouette Intimate Moments, or a similar series romance. I’d appreciate any leads!

September#10
I read this book a few years back. It was a modern day western setting. I believe it began with the main character and her son stopping at a rodeo and meeting her ex-lover. Maybe she hits his truck in the parking lot? I think she was "coming back home" to take care of her sick father. She gets involved with her ex, who I believe is the father of her son, etc. I think the man and son have a "fight" scene in his barn because the boy and a young girl were getting involved with each other.

September#11
I read this book, a harlequin presents, like 4-5 years ago. Its about a woman who is with this race car driver, I beleive in Italy. Somehow she meets up with the race car driver's father, and is with him. They end up together and somehow he tries to get her pregnant..please help. I thought maybe penny jordan or miranda lee but not sure.

I read an excerpt for a book that sounded interesting but I cannot remember in what book I saw it. It is an historical and I believe the heroine's name is Silver St Cloud (not sure of the last but am of the first)and in the excerpt she is accosted by a highwayman. I believe she had a small bag around her neck or in the pocket of her dress and he orders her to hand it over. She refuses and in the struggle the bag is dropped and lavender seeds are strewn about on the ground. She is inconsolable and he is confused about her reaction, but to her, the lavender is a way for her to make money and get away from her brother-in-law, who, unbeknownst to her, has wagered her in some kind of bet with his cronies. Anyway, the highwayman lets her go and follows her to her home so he knows where she lives.

September#13
I am trying to remember the title of a book I read years ago (literally over 20). If I remember correctly, the cover was red with gold lettering and it had a small ship on it in addition to the H/h. It was a historical romance but not a series historical like Harlequin. The story was similar to "Persuasion"---the girl is in love with this guy who is poor. Her mother falls ill and dies and she rejects his proposal, saying that she needs to take care of her younger sister, plus the father doesn't approve of him. He is hurt/angry by her decision and joins the Navy. He comes back after 7 years (I think she's 25 at this time) and of course is wealthy now. He begins to court the younger sister, which breaks the girl's heart. She decides to become a companion to an older woman who plans to travel around the world, and Africa was mentioned. I remember a description of her wearing a purple turban. The man tells her she can't do that, etc... Of course, in the end he tells her he's always loved only her and they end up together.

September#14
I have been trying to find two books. one is a superromance where mayor or the sheriff of a town married a girl while she was in school so that to protect her ranch and then when she was done with school she came home and found he had rented the ranch house to a movie crew for shooting a movie it. it has a sequel where the lead actress marries the lead detective/investigator but not interested in that one. the mayor might have been called jimmy and the title of the book something to do with homecoming or hometown. second book is a man who sleeps with their cooks daughter thinking it was his fiancee along a streams bank on a dark night on a ranch , she was crazy about him but left before he could realise what he had done and later gave birth to his kid.

September#15
I have been scouring the Internet trying to find a book I read years ago. About thirteen years ago, and it was pretty old at the time. It had a librarian type woman in it. Somehow she gets involved with maybe a pirate. Somehow they end up in the jungle or rain forest. There is a major love scene where they make love for the first time in a cave, while the natives are playing drums and searching for them or holding them captive. I thought the name had Eden in it but I'm really not sure. the cover was mostly green with a jungle-type scenery on it.

September#16
I'm looking for a book I read in the late 80s/early 90s. The book was set sometime around the Revolutionary War. The hero of the book was a sea captain named Lucien (Lucian) and the heroine was named Samantha. Lucian was transporting Samantha and her father from England. On the voyage over, Samantha was injured during the storm and unbenownst to her father, she and Lucian became lovers. I can't remember much else of the book except for the end when Samanth was shot in a chest by some unknown assailant in order to save Lucian.

September#17
I am looking for a book I read probably in the 1990's, but bought used. I think it might be Harlequin Superromance, but only remember it had a powder blue edge on the left side of the book. The story was about a woman raising younger siblings who had a broken down VW bug (?) she worked as an assistant for someone in the film industry, she had to travel to the set for her last job before she could have her siblings set up and move on with her life. She was a tomboy, and always wore overalls, and fell in love with the director (?). The scene that has always stuck is flashes of the end of the book, her alone in the bed with her overalls in the trash, him sitting dejected on a bed thinking she is gone, and him going and getting a rose and cutting himself on the thorns and getting blood on the netting of the bed. Does this ring a bell for anyone? It has been driving me crazy for years.

September#18
In the mid 90’s, I purchased a romance novel with a gold cover. It was a series, like harlequin, I believe… about a young girl left on a deserted island. She eventually grows up, still alone, until a man either discovers the island or is shipwrecked himself. I know this is a shot in the dark, but I remember really loving that book.

September#19
The main male character is named Christian, whose father is an English lord and mother an arab princess. I do not remember the main female character's name. Christian also has a half brother by his father, whom the main female character is initially engaged (i think) to until Christian arrives on the scene. It is placed in midieval england with a side plot involving Prince Edward and the main female character's best friend (Annie??). Part of the story involves going to war in france and from then on, the story is placed either in war or in the french villas (aka the english court in france). christian also has an eerie way of "knowing" things that are never refered to but are basically psychic intuition or something like that. In the end there is also an episode with small pox, i believe, where christian leaves to get his mother due to smallpox being spread close to her but then his dad ends up getting it. somewhere in there, in some tournament of some sort, the half brother turns up treasonous along with one of the younger princes to try and kill the crown prince (edward) and Edward's love interest/mistress's cover up husband (for the pregnancy resultant from the affair with edward) turns violent against both her and the main female character and ends up killed after a struggle.

September#20
Okay, the book I am looking for is about a young woman who's family is ruined by a really rich guy. This guy is out west, so she goes out west under the disguise of a widow even though she has never been married. During the day she runs a bed/breakfast type thing and at night dresses up as a man and robs the stagecoaches of the man she is out to ruin. A bounty hunter comes to town to figure out who is robbing the stages, stays at the house of the woman and finds out it is her. The only other part I remember about the story is that while the bounty hunter is in town, the woman has been dating the really rich guy that she hates so that she can have access to all of the stagecoach information

I read this book many years ago and I cannot remember the name or title but the storyline takes place on the Scottish border with the heroine leaving her convent school & escorted by her brother the new laird as her father recently died. They are attacked by another Scottish laird in revenge of the heroine's brother seducing his younger sister. The brother is killed & the heroine is taken to the laird's castle. The rest of the story consists of him letting her go,then the two of them seeing each other until she tells her fiancee she will not marry him and ends up with the laird.

It was the first romance novel I ever read back when I was about 10 or 11 (so it's probably around 12-15 years old). It's about a man and woman who each have their own daughters from previous relationships. I forget what the man does for a living, but the woman is involved with archeology. I'm thinking one of the girls' names is Cassie, but I could be wrong. The parents fight the attraction because the daughters can't stand that their parents might be in a relationship. Eventually, the heroine and the man's daughter go to some ruin (it might be a Myan ruin or an Inca ruin), where the bad guys try to kill them. The hero and the woman's daughter end up rescuing the other two and they all live happily ever after.

September#23
hi, i read this book back in highschool?and i believe it was published in the late 80's or early 90's. i think the female character was named olivia and the male was named alex. the plot far as i remember it goes like this: olivia was a family friend of alex's and they meet up and fall in love later in life. they have a short romance till olivia feels that she is too old and alex should date someone younger. after she breaks it off she finds out she's pregnant and when she finally decides to tell alex she cant find him cause he's at home but not answering the door or phone calls due to an injury a patient at work gave him.

September#24
I wondered if you could help me find a book I read in the 80's. It's about this girl I think she was a waitress putting herself through college and she meets this rich student, they have a one night stand and she ends up getting pregnant. They decide to move in together although neither want the relationship, anyway in the end they fall in love. I think it was called "Separate lives or different lives" but I can't seem to find it.

September#25
It must have been an early 80's book because by the time I'd gotten hold of it it was old. It had a picture of a blonde couple sitting on a beach or cliff the background was peachy pink. It was set in Brisbane Australia. A woman goes there to help with a child and falls in love with the older brother who has some medical condition in his brain which, at the time, is fatal. He got in a wreck or something. They fall in love but he pushes her away but in the end he has the surgery and comes back ok. and they all live happily ever after, of course, lol. It has been a good 20 years since I've gotten it but I've lost my old copy and I want to say the last name of the author was Davis.

September#26
I'm looking for an historical or regency romance novel that I read in the early 90's. I don't know the title or author, but I'm pretty sure the main character's names were Victoria and Rain. Rain (late 20's) was the appointed guardian of Victoria (late teens) who was attending a boarding school. She was going to run off with a boy at her school, and when he found out, he came to the school to get her. At that time, she left the boarding school to stay with him. Lot's of drama in the middle, but I can't remember any other details. The cover is burgundy and the man and woman both have black hair.

September#27
I am looking for a novel. It is about a nobleman (I believe) and a female who is living in his home. They become lovers. His brother is almost killed, but cannot talk yet. A message is left in blood or ink. It indicates his female lover. She runs away back to her town. She discovers she is pregnant and tries to marry a local man. The nobleman shows up before vows are exchanged and tells everyone that they were lovers. Needless to say, no wedding occurs. She is destitute and goes to live in the woods or something with a kind, elderly female. Just as that female dies, the nobleman shows up to take her back to his home. She lives on his property but refuses to live in the same house with him.

September#28
I'm looking for the title and author of a book I ready in the late 80s/early 90s (before 1994). The story focused on two married couples in 19th century england. One couple included a doctor and a famous actress. The doctor harboured feelings for the wife of the other couple creating tension in his own marriage. I believe it was part of a series.

September#29
It's regency/historical romance book. It's about a lady raising her sister baby as her own. She is an inventor and meets our hero while trying out her "daughters" present a mechanical duck or automation duck and as he prepares to shoot this "duck" our heroine and her daughter screem and he falls into the pond/lake. The heros is living in wha tused to be our heroines estate. She now lives next door with I think her aunts. The little girl in threatened by kidnappers, our hero compromises the "widow" then offers to marry her, she refuses etc....

September#30
I remember reading this book like, 10+ yrs ago. This story is about a man who somehow met a woman who lived in the sea/ocean. I can't remember much except that they both fell in love. At the beginning it was hard for the woman to leave the sea because, I believe she was living among/with "dolphins"?..or some sort of sea/ocean animal. But her love for the man drew her away from the sea and they eventually married. But I think something tragic happened or there was some sort of misunderstanding, because towards the end, the woman was deeply hurt and she went back into the sea and the left the man yearning for her to come back. From there on, I can't remember what happened. I recall that the book cover had the image of the woman reaching out from the sea towards the man, and half her right side was expose, showing her pale, white skin...and she was reaching for him with her right arm. And the guy was bending down towards her. I recall the colors on the cover were abit on the dark side and the image of the woman stood out the most. That's the only image that I associate with this book.

September#31
. I'm looking for information on a book I read as a serialisation in an Australian magazine (either New Idea or Aus Women's Weekly) in the late 80s. The story opens in Dubrovnik, with the heroine relaxing on a beach. She runs away from the hero (probably English?), as she thinks he's a local criminal. She's pleased with herself when she appears to elude him, as she doesn't speak any of the local languages, not realising that he's easily been able to trace her as she's fairly conspicuous. The action continues around (then) Yugoslavia. Any hints? Thanks.

September#32
. The book starts off with a girl(peasant) who is spotted by I believe a king. This girl looks like his daughter and he takes her to be wed to another in place of his daughter. His daughter was raised in a convent I believe. He takes his so called pretend daughter and this soon to be hubby of hers meet. Not knowing that this girl was going to be wed to him he takes her to his room and they have sex. This after flirting with each other at a party I believe it was a masqued party. Afterwards he finds out but they do eventually fall for each other. I know there are two books in this series. And I believe the name is pretty short. Does this ring any bells for anybody? The books would have been written before 2000 and it was medieval romance in nature.

September#33
. Hi, I am looking for a romance novel that I rememebr reading the back of and thought it looked good. I think it was an old book, early 90's maybe. Anyway I think it involves a woman who is planning on marrying this man. I think it takes place in Australia or New Zeland, and anyway she is travelling in a jungle, or rainforest and is kidnapped/abducted and ends up being rescued and falling for the mans brother. The heroine might have had red hair is I remember the cover correctly.
